		Shearling Winter Coats A shearling coat is one of the coats with a leather outer and sheep wool on the inside. Shearling coats are popular because they are so warm. They also look great. There are few things that compare to some high quality sheep wool, in terms of softness and texture. There are lots of variations in wool quality. Some wool is freshly sheared and used for clothing production. Other wool is stripped with harsh chemicals and removed from dead sheep. The dead wool does not feel anywhere near as good as wool that is freshly sheared and treated right. That is one of the reasons that there is such a difference in price on a shearling coat. The lower end manufacturers are not using the same quality of wool.
